We are a family firm of Chartered Accountants based in Northallerton, on the High Street.

Established by Colin and Julie in September 2013.

Colin has over 30 years' experience in the profession and Julie has over 30 years' experience in the public sector covering schools' finance and business management. They are ably assisted by Associates Sam (their eldest son) and Nigel, who have both trained and qualified as chartered accountants with the firm and the rest of the CHA team, Barbara, Jonty, Leanne, Walter, Pete, Alison, Neil, Matthew, Anthony, Lois, Lewis and Caroline. We support multiple business sectors, such as manufacturing, agriculture and retail. We provide assistance to clients with tax planning, annual accounts and tax return preparation, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, cashflows, payroll services and much more.

Colin Hutson Accounting Limited were pleased that Associate Sam Hutson was elected chair of the ICAEW Student Council for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2022.

Among other roles Sam represented over 180,000 chartered accountant students worldwide at the ICAEW Council, which is one of the key governing bodies of the Institute.

Sam trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Colin Hutson Accounting Limited (CHA) and upon his election stated he was “honoured and delighted to be able to represent the Chartered Accountant student body.”
